Default Another "name that wheel" thread.... sorry, but I just gotta know!

I'm seriously having problems sleeping at night after seeing this car:

Going from the huge Advan sticker on the front of it, I'm guessing those wheels are these:

(Advan RG)

For 17x7.5, they're $410 a piece

Does anyone know if there are any replicas, or something similar? I really love the way that wrx looks, and I want my white one to have some similarities to it.

(Does anyone know if those are 17" or 18" on the JUN car?)

Yup, ADVAN RGs in 17" are what are on the JUN WRX. I don't know of any replicas of these wheels that fit Subies. Sorry.

Default JUN W/Advans

The rims you so desire are RG's 17x8.5 ET 43, Tire 245/40/17. Fenders rolled. Black Racing Pro N1's are close but weigh 19lbs. I have JUN bumper from Gruppe-s, and I am agonizing as well about wheel selection. All the good, wide, liteweight rims cost major bucks Hard time selling the idea to the spouse .

Advan RG's are really hot wheels. But anyone paying those prices for a non-forged wheel either has way too much disposable income or is certifiably insane.

What about other wheels that are even just that color? My 'bronze' rota sub-zeros that were on my Si were *much* darker than that...

Thumbs up

Uh Thank you. I have those wheels but I run 16" on my GC8 as I think 17's look a little to bling bling on a GC8 bodystyle. I am also putting 225 rubber on my ride this summer as well. They are not cheap man but they can handle speeds and twisties just fine. I have seen one set for sale used for a GT-R but besides magazines I have the only Rex around here with those rims. Used they still wanted $900 for the $1200 for the set but they also came with used/decent tires.

I think you might be happy with the rota attack in Gold (not bronze). It's five spoke and actually a replica of the Volk gramlight, but it's the closest cheap alernative.

An inexpensive alternative to the RG's would be the Konig Traffiks. They come in white, silver, and gunmetal w/ polished lips. Costs about $150/rim for 17x7 from discount tire.

How about Gold 17x7.5" SSR Competitions are $375 a piece at tire rack, $140 cheaper for a set of 4 than those Advans. They are semi forged. They look like the Advans.
