rear turn signal bulb type?

does anyone know what type of bulb i can get to replace the rear turn signal?

should be an 1156 if its a single filiment bulb.

i've tried the 1156, but the bulb that goes into the rear signal seems to be a 1156 but the lil stubs on the base of the bulb do not match up. the 1156 are directly opposite each other while the one that came off of my car are at a slight angle, causing the 1156 not to fit into the socket...

i guess i could just change the entire socket...but that is too much trouble and i do not know where i can find any sockets that would fit a normal 1156... i might do it if i find some time and the equipment needed

any suggestions?

what i did was just filed one of those stubs away with a nail filer, no big deal.

Or go to your local Subaru dealer and ask for part number 84920FA020 --- MSRP is all of $2.95.

Hehe same thing happened to me. I just went to Subaru to buy the bulb. It's actually around the same price as any other auto stores.
