Sounds like a slipping clutch to me. Time for a new clutch. How many miles on your car? If 70k or above miles, it's probably the time to replace.

i bought the car used with about 43k or so and now it has 58k. well this is a good excuse to get a new clutch and lightned fliywheel, i mean since the transmission is going to have to be worked on might as well do it all together...

Sounds like the clutch is slipping. You might want to check your clutch wire. My clutch was broken today totally. It wasn't the clutch wire. Damn, costs over 500USD here up north. 70k isn't very much from a clutch. Depends of course how has it been used. I think a very clear symptom is the smell if the clutch is slipping. Try motor braking from fairly high speeds...
