Andres... Any reason you went with the Borla catback, even though Cobb carries Stromung?

Thumbs up

I buy all of my parts from Cobb, Trey is a vary dedicated person to these cars, he has a lot of knowledge of these cars, just look at the intake he made for the 2.5 R.S. He puts a lot of time and research into his parts and the parts he sells. The cars he works on are worked on in detail, and dyno tested in most cases. His packages are well thought out and are the bang for your buck.

Jimmy,

Recently I had Trey build me a MY00 2.5l. Cams, Heads, pistons, rods, etc. With a Minnam turbo the engine put 240+ hp to the wheels.
Max HP was made at 6200 rpm. nice flat torque curve.

The engine now has 10k or so miles and is only getting stronger. Trey is very careful when building engines and does an excellent job.

Very satisfied customer,

Joe Hogan

So your motor is putting out in the neihborhood of 300bhp. Nice. Why does everyone say "...at the wheels". If the Scoob's come with 165hp "not at the wheels, but at the crank". And your car is putting out 240+ at the wheels, that is more than doubling the stock wheel horsepower...and that's one powerful Scooby!

Skylab,
Everyone says"at the wheels" b/c we don't really know what the crank numbers are. W/the AWD there are guys who test on AWD dynos, w/RWD convewrsions on 5spd and FWD on auto. Very hard to tell what the real number at the crank is with so much inconsistency.

I personally have the Cobb intake,UD pulley and Stromung Cat back twin tip along w/NGK VX platinums. Very happy for now. Next step, The Borla, and then eventually a Cobb Tuned head w/cams and port/polish.

How far do you want to go ?$$$
Eventually thinking of turbo??
I'm almost up to the limit on Cobb Tuning Mods(do some research) and very happy, running a little bit faster than a WRX, 14.46 1/4mile...
