I had a 10gb iPod. I sold it.... to buy a 20gb iPod. IMHO, no other portable music device even comes close.

So far, I've got 2004 songs on it for 14.5gb. With VBR MP3s, the sound quality is superb.

yeah 4 or 5 hundo is a lot of money but i'm really suprised by this thing. Fire Wire rocks!!! This version can hold over 1000 songs and is only 4" high and maybe 2 1/2 " wide. It's tiny. I can load about every song I want onto it and take it anywhere. You can get a car adapter or get a Y adapter to connect to your home stereo (which he included with this one, along with an upgraded fire wire cable). It's backlit and really easy to use since you can scroll thru the whole library and pick out whatever song you want to listen to. Nothing else can do that. It's pretty sweet.

Perfect for working out at the gym

the i-pod is very nice. it does practically everything. organizes your music, calander, phone book. very very good little machine.

MD still beats MP3 portable devices IMO, EXCEPT for the ipod. Size vs cost vs sound quality. The only complaint with mine (Sharp MD MT-15) is that the thing will think i'm trying to open it at times... Has not happened in a while, but what a pain when you are recording.

If I had the frivilous cash to spend on an ipod I'd do it.

Why does the iMac suck ass? The new one or the old one? The candy colored ones were ghey. The new ones are really nice.

As for the iPod, I think it is great. I'm just looking for a good way to hardwire it into the stock deck so that I don't have to use a tape thingie or an FM transmitter. Best mp3 player by far, just the price matched.

Is there a quicker way of importing a CD onto my computer so that I can put it on the iPod?? I was using iTunes to import a CD onto my hard drive so I could put it into the iPod, man that takes a long time.
