my rota attacks are great! besides auto-x and street use, they even survived a very rough rally-x with only a few faint scratches! Thanks to rota for making such an affordable, great looking, light, and reliable wheel.

My only dissapointment was that many vendors had listed the weight for the 17x7.5 in the 15 - 16 lb. range when mine actually weighed 17.0 lbs.

Rota wheels are the best. Gotta have the 19's with the p-zero rubber bands.

You need to NOT be driving on these wheels!!! You should have parked the car as soon as you saw the initial damage. If you value your car (and your life) park it!

Kim is hard to get in touch with at times.

You need to stop driving on the wheel. I thought that would be obvious but incase you are still driving on it, STOP!

I just stumbled upon this thread. Looks like last post was May/07. Are they still replacing the wheels?

yes they are still replacing wheels. This isn't a one time offer or any other BS, you have a wheel from the 2nd batch and they will replace it free of charge with no questions asked.

"For those with the first batch of wheels produced during April 2002, if you feel uncomfortable with your wheels, we will gladly replace them with the newer batch.

The way to check is to remove your wheels and see if there is a cavity at the back of the spoke. If you have a cavity at the back of the spoke, check your casting date. If it reads A4/02 or SVP, you can ask for a replacement if you wish"

Angry Crap!

I read this thread as soon as I got my Rota's. Then took the wheels off and determined by the numbers that mine were not affected by the recall. Then today, I'm filling up gas and I look down to what looked like a string of grease the got flung onto the wheel. Under closer inspection, a clean crack all the way through the spoke! What if I didn't notice this and the rest decided to break off, I'd hate to think what would have happened. So, can I return my wheels now for a new set or am I screwed?

I'm worried about driving home on the Donut, Subaru service told me not to exceed 50MPH, I have 40 miles to drive home. Do they send the replacements first, or do I need to send them back first?

Thanks guys.
