Default Will JDM RHD crossmember work in LHD car?

Just curious if a RHD crossmember will have any problem fitting into a left hand drive car. Basically can a JDM engine/tranny/xmember just be unbolted and bolted into a US spec car without interference? Will it fit with the steering linkage, etc.? I have been told yes it will fit by many people and no by another. I just need a definite answer hopefully from someone who has it. Thanks.

I dont see why not IIRC it is the same as a Legacy turbo x-member (same part #) If you get me a part # I can check it on monday when I get back to work.

I don't have a part #. It's out of a Version 6 RA, I'm sure it's the same as every RHD x-member since the early 90's. I was told the steering linkage will hit it or something like that. I'm trying to find someone who has one in their car so that it can't even be argued. Thanks

The holes are basically in the same place. I don't see why it wouldn't work..Meaning
you could probally flip the r&p around and still have everything fit fine..Gerry

Yup bolts right up. I have a Ver 6 type R in my gc8. With some power steering line rerouting you can even use RHD rack in LHD car, just flip it.

Thank you! That helps a bunch. Are you sure about the steering rack? I was told there was absolutely no way it would work. Did you actually do it? Thanks again guys.
