Talking Noobie Questions .....

I have a couple questions for y'all,

1) Do 2000-2001 Rubber floormats fit the 98-99s ?

2) Which pet divider would you recommend ?

3) What HID kits would you recommend ?

4) What intake/air filter DOES NOT cause a check engine light ?

5) Know of anyone selling an 18mm rear swaybar ?

Thanks,

DaveC

Default MAS or MAF

I need to know if Phase II motors are MAS or MAF ?

Do any of the aftermarket air filters/CAI cause a check engine light ?

Thanks guys/gals !

DaveC......I'm not well versed on the differences.....but I believe that the 98-99 were MAF/phase I and starting in 00 they went to phase II/MAP.

Pros and cons to both but the MAF have a history of being delicate and more prone to problems especially with a CAI installed.

Hope that helps.....

Davec, I'll try to answer what I know:

1) Do 2000-2001 Rubber floormats fit the 98-99s ? Yes

2) Which pet divider would you recommend ? can't answer

3) What HID kits would you recommend ? can't answer

4) What intake/air filter DOES NOT cause a check engine light ? I use an Amsoil drop-in filter; I've never gotten a CEL.

5) Know of anyone selling an 18mm rear swaybar ? IIRC ForesterPerformance was selling one?

Phase II/MAP switch came in '99 IIRC. Please don't quote me, run a search to verify.

Hope this helps.

Default cobb tuning

go to www.cobbtuning.com for more technical forester info than you could want including MAF sensor stuff.

The Cobb intake is loud as hell packs a whallop especially with their cat back. no engine lights or any problems other than cabin drone from the unrestricted flow and less baffling from the plastic snorkus thing.
