Default Washington Mutual just screwed me...

I called them on the 01/20... asked if my money was available. Some rude person told me its available on 01/22. I then use my debit card 7 times on 01/24. Wow how convient is it that I end up getting charged 7 overdraft charges. The Jerk off I talk to today who was also a complete and uder moron says "Oh well, its not like we record things the tele bankers say maybe you should just learn to be Repsonsible Mr Lee" I then said... so bankers can say whatever the hell they want then right... his resonse was " Well we record conversations but thats not the point" NICE CONTRADICTION CORNHOLE NOW I HAVE NEGATIVE MONEY!!! AHHhhh. Why do we need banks why why why.

PLEASE NO ELIETE CUSSING! danka

Keep arguing it and going higher up.

If that doesn't solve anything pull your money and go to another bank (not uboc as they are even worse I closed my account and they were still charging me overdraft fees on overdraft fees).

Similar thing happened to me at Bank of the West.

I complained to the higher-ups, and they told me "sorry". So I pulled out my money and closed my account.

I am still pissed about that!

Never EVER trust word of mouth where money is involved.

Never.

Wait until you can see it in your balance before you draw on it.

Always.

Otherwise this type of thing will happen to you over and over again.

Sorry about your situation. Thanks to a couple similar experiences, I now always write down who I talked to, a brief description of what took place, and the date. Like the guy told you: They don't record things. Which means you better. Coming at them with Who/What/When can make a difference. Good luck.

during the meet you should go into Wamu, load up the parking lot full of wrx's and have everyone walk in with you while you bitch at the bank manager about your predicament and forcibly ask for it to be completely resolved.

I HATE banks that pull that crud. I closed my accounts with BofA because of such bs. I have 2 accounts with Washington Mutual but the branch right by my house closed and the hot tellers are no longer there so I have no reason to stay with them, we should go all together like mrazntre said and if they dont fix it Ill close my account right there.

I still don't understand...why do they charge an overdraft fee if you have no money in the bank? That's the stupidest charge ever.
