2003 USGP and Indy 500 tickets questions

I know there's been quite a few people that have gone to the USGP the last couple years here. Where were you getting tickets and where would you recommend sitting?

IMS just launched an online site on Feb. 1 for online tickets (www.imstix.com).

I'm trying to go to both the 500 and the GP this year and was wondering who else is planning on going to either.

i sat in the NW Vista this year. i thought it was quite a good spot. you have a nice view of the cars coming down the straight into turn 1, and then through 2, 3, and 4 as well. plus you can walk around the infield all you want, which i also highly recommend. on saturday, we spent the whole day walking around. for the race we started out in our seats and then walked around. its alot of fun!

NW Vista is the best spot to be for viewing the track. I sat there two years ago during a practice session. It was good, saw Fisichella go off in his Benetton. I've been cheap the first two years and sat in general attendence, which was really nice for close shots of the cars in the mikey mouse complex.

I would go with NW, I'm going to order tickets for this years race for there

This coming year will be my 4th USGP.

IMHO
Friday is cheap buy at the track or online.

Saturday and Sunday scalp. I saved 50% from face value this past GP. Loads of available tickets.

Saturday find a seat early for qual. and sit on pit straight second level up. I think its call penthouse seats. It's a blast, esp if your near the very enthusiastic Columbian crowd.

Sunday we prefer to roam the inflield. Getting close is what its all about.
