Hey guys, I just wanted to say good bye to everyone for a few weeks. I am going in on Friday for another back surgery and hopefully this will be the last. I also wanted to thank everyone who has been my friend and supported me through this whole thing. It means a lot to me and I really do appreciate it!

Eric will be coming to see me on Saturday when I am out of the operating room. Wish him luck because heís more afraid than I am!

So this isnít a complete loss in SCIC, here are pictures for those of you who don't know me:

Thank you again everyone and I will see you when I am all better!

ouch! Heard about this, but never saw pics.
I'm sorry you're going through this, and we all wish you luck!!!

My best friend just had surgery for his herniated disks, and is undergoing some painful but progressive recovery.

Get better soon.

I'm sorry but, can someone point me to a thread that points to what lead to that badly damaged spine? OMG!, my belly just made a funny growling noise when looked at that x-ray with the zig-zagged spine. You must be a very strong girl. Best whishes!

it's scoliosis. she was born with it, not from a car accident or anything. this is her 3rd surgery. the first 2 were to save her from dying, and this one is to help reduce some of the terrible pain she's been experiencing over the last year. i really hope this helps, because no one deserves to be in this kind of pain all day long, every day.

thanks for your support you guys. i'm sure chelsea really appreciates it.

Good luck with the operation Chelsea! I have a metal rod in my left femur (bone snapped into three pieces) from this;

We can start a club when you're back.

Good luck with the surgery. I have 4 screws in the jaw cause of surgery last summer, so I feel your pain (in a non-literal way).

Best wishes on your surgery!

I had some jaw surgery last winter (10 screws total...I think) that involved power saws and flapping gums (cut open to access the bones, YAY!). Recovery was lengthy, but I got better with time.

I feel much better now! I hope you do too!
