Default Will the STi have a cup holder?

Does the STi come with a cup holder, or will I be forced to hold my supersized ice cold beverage clamped between my thighs, like i had to in my old Ford Probe GT? I know it goes against the whole driving purist thing, but since its got a back seat and the trunk lid isn't welded closed, its supposed to perform under practical conditions as well as more extreme.

Typical American concern. Always worried about there cup holders for their biggie drink and nice wide comfy seats for their fat asses That's what the Japanese think..this just made me laugh to see someone express this concern.

Yea! WHat about my Venti Triple Almond 2% Mocha??
The cupholders better be able to fit that properly and make sure it doesnt spill when I do a handbrake turn!

To seriously answer your question (something this forum has a hard time doing sometimes). I don't remember when I sat in it, but from pictures posted, it does look like definately the one on the center console is there (near the ebrake). It also appears the completely useless one above the radio on the center console is there, too.

So, yes, cupholders.

(What do ppl just cuz they drive fast cars not bring sodas/water with them on way to work?)

I heard it's going to come with a tray specially designed for setting our BigMacs, biggies fries, biggie soda, and hot fudge sunday. If it doesn't, you can count me out

I'm waiting for the "you don't deserve an STi" people to make their comment.

But yeah, ObsidianRS is correct. It has the one above the radio, and the one by the e-brake, just like the current WRX.

Meh. There are aftermarket cupholders to be had that work well.

Or you can just learn to drive like Takumi Fujiwara and set your cup on the dash and try not to spill a drop while performing high-speed drifting maneuvers.

The STI had better sprout fins when i take it underwater!
It better not have a leak too!
I want the STi to perform like Bond's Lotus Esprit
Missile tracking and firing is a plus, maybe a factory addon?

Exactly.
Exept we are closer related to Bunta in terms of car choice, no?

I hope the center console cupholder is there, thats where my coffee mug goes every morning. I find that cup holder very useful, since I will be driving my STi everyday.

Does anyone have a picture of the Cupholders? Are they "Cherry Blossom Red?"

This picture seems to indicate there is a cupholder. Will there be one on the final version? Who knows.
