There's a thread that I'm going to update in the MidAtlantic forum. I contacted them, and they said it was going to be there, but wanted to confirm upon delivery, before everyone got their hopes up.

They said the 2004 redesign and STi would be there. When they email me to confirm, I will update that thread.

let us know ASAP. I will be there for sure, but hopefully the EVO, R32, S60R, and STi will be at their platforms.

I received this email, from Steve Freeman, the auto show contact:

"Subaru has confirmed both are in route to the show."

For more info, check the Mid Atlantic Thread.

Thanks.

I got the same response from him, though I'm not sure what he meant by "both" - maybe the '04 WRX and STi?

Yes, I asked specifically about both cars.

i just came back from the show. STi is so damn nice. No evos, R32 nor the S60R. I found the VW suv Tourage(spelling) quite nice from the outside. anyway, not bad for $9 just to take a look of some pretty interesting vehicles.

No Evos? Damn what in the hell is wrong with Mitsubishi? You would figure they would want to put their product out for potential consumers...

I was pretty disappionted too, but VW is also stupid enough not to put the R32 on display.

Default Sat in the STi at the Baltimore show!

Myself and some of my Edmunds.com Subie buddies were able to sit in the STi in the Baltimore Auto Show! A couple of the guys came down from NY, and we told the Subie reps that—and they let us all crawl all over that STi on display! We popped the hood, sat inside, and examined as closely as we could. Others who were there, and who were not part of our group, were NOT allowed to do so! We felt honored!!

Comments:

• The STi seat material is great. It felt like suede.

• Unlike all other Subarus, the STi cruise control on/off button is now part of the cruise control stalk, similar to that used by Toyota and others. This is a much better solution, as it is much more intuitive in operation. All Subies should have this CC stalk!

• The STi on display had the WRX radio installed.

• All '04 Imprezas have the radio antenna now in the rear window.

• The STi, WRX sedan/wagon and Baja Sport on display I swear were the same vehicles shown at Detroit two weeks ago.

• The hard tonneu cover on the Baja Sport appeared to be a "beta" version, as it was rather crude. It's NOT an SOA option, but an after-market option.

• The SOA rep indicated only the WRX sedan, and not the wagon, would get the optional moonroof and AWP. BUMMER!!

• The '04 Outback Sport was also on display, which I believe, is a world debut for that model. A rear disk brake reappears on the '04 OBS.

I hit up the show Friday morning. Hardly any one there, almost had the run of the place. I guess the slushy snowy roads kept everyone home. Hehe Overall we had a good time and definitely some nice cars to take in.

The STi is SCHWEET no doubt about it!! We even talked the rep into popping the hood for some pics and of course gaping. My God the car is just beautiful. Go see it for yourself for sure...!

The new 2004 WRX's have a nice revised interior (I like the seats A LOT) and you gotta love the factory sunroof! (Glass roof not solid like the Gc8)

This is incredibly dumb. Wagon buyers are buying a more versatile, functional version of the car, why exclude them from the all weather package?

It sounds like you were there when we were checking it out. Actually, only two of the guys were from NY. The rest of us, myself included, are Marylanders.

Here are some pixs from the show:

Yes I was. I was walking back to the STi for one last look before I left for the day and saw a whole bunch of people walking all around the STi. I was like "Whoa now there letting people up there!" I asked the SOA rep to come on up and he said "sorry, these guys are from Edmunds, they came down from NY..." DOH! It was worth a try though.

And thanks for the picture link
