Default STI Ride Height Question?

It is kind of hard to tell from the pictures, but will the STI have a lower ride height (read: less front fender gap) than a standard WRX? It doesn't really matter to me, but I was just curious. The suspension of the STI will probably be a bit taught for our crappy Philly roads, and I wouldn't mess with a suspension put together by the engineers at STI anyway (Idon't auto-x, and the visual appeal isn't worth it to me) but I was just wondering.

Interesting question. If the ride height was close to the same as the WRX, they might not have to crash test the STi independently.

It's been quoted at about a half inch. Maybe it was .4" - something like that...don't remember the source, it seems like it was in the official info somewhere.

I remember .4" also, for some reason. This could be good news for WRX owners, as Subaru doesn't have an excuse for not offering the STi suspension kit installed on the WRX, for whatever warranty or ride height reasons they were using before.

Look at the press releases and information on media.subaru.com. It's .4" lower than a WRX, unless they change that spec between now and when the car comes out.

Hate to say it, but look around a little first. This is information that was in the initial press release and spec information from Subaru.

Why, then, did they sell the SPT suspension, but make it clear that installing it would void the warranty, and that it was for "off-road use only" ???

Now that the parts are on the STi, and the ride height will have been crash certified, the parts should not void the warranty, or have the "off road" statement attached.

Wow, how many times does the same answer need to be repeated? I knew my answer was good, but damn!!

Think I'll say it again...
