Default Hella 500s doesn't work why?

I have Hella 500s on my car now, and lately, It doesn't work at all. I checked the fuse, relays (hella's), and the bulbs (not blown). All of them have power going to them but it just won't light up. Why is that? How do I solve this problem?

Are you using the factory wiring or the Hella wiring?
If you're not working today I can come by to check it out.

you say you have power going to them, but are they grounded? There is a small metal tab on the back of the light that needs to be grounded. I had problems with my grounds coming off the back of the light when I used the stock clips.

Where are you getting your switched +12v power from? Are you going directly from the batter to the switch, or getting it from a wire that goes positive when the lights go on?

If you're pulling from any location in stock wiring, have you checked the fuses for the stock wiring? You might also consider getting a covered relay if yours is located in the engine bay. Radio Shack has 30AMP relays, which is all the Hella one is.

Maybe check the connections as well, maybe a wire pulled loose or is slightly corroded or something.

Just tossing ideas out there.

I had a similar problem with my rallye 4000s... turned out I neglected to reconnect a ground after changing my sparkplugs (relays ground to screw holding washer res to strut tower, removed to do driver's side plugs). <shrug> It's easier to fix if I can get my hands on them. Good luck

Found the problem. Blown fuse from power wire.

A friend and I checked it out earlier it looked fine. Then tonight Rudypoo and I checked it again, it still look fine. It has the power going through it. All of a sudden, the end cap of the fuse fell off Hence the reason why my fog lights aren't working.
