Default BOSAL downpipe: all rallispec-bought

did yours ship in a huge box w/ no padding, and only one layer of bubble wrap around the downpipe? i just got mine in the mail today, and what a surprise: UPS didnt take care of it. looks like it was thrown around, and even the bubble wrap came off, scratching and denting and bending both ends of the flanges.

don't know whether to blame UPS for their care or rallispec for the bad packaging.

what would you guys do? looks like i can install it, but the edge of the flanges are scratched, and theres huge scratches on the actual downpipe as well. go through w/ the UPS insurance or rallispec refund, or try it out first?

Since the dp is going to be covered by a heatshield and is obviously going to be getting pretty hot, why worry what it looks like? Although if the flanges are really bent/tweaked, I would probably try and get it resolved either through rallispec or the ups.

~Evan (btw its a sweet dp)

yeah, i just hope the tranny mount thing fits good. it looks bent to me. they didnt even wrap that part

function over form is very true, and i dont mind the looks of it. it's just that i wish things i bought online dont come scratched up, thats all.

I got mine from Rallispec last week in a somewhat scratched condition but mine was packed well. The scratches didnt concern me so i put it on.Very sweet piece BTW..Talked to Dave at Rallispec on another issue and brought it up,,,he feels it may be Bosals problem ie. trying to get them out quick. They are packed by Bosal as well.
Also ,,from the start (back in Sept.) there were probs with the tranny bracket not lining up.I left mine unbolted and it's still rock solid.
Try it youl like it

I got mine when they first announced them and it was packed as you describe- but in no way SHIPPED as you describe. UPS can be such a bunch of commies!

yeah, a couple of people i know worked at UPS, and said no one gave a crap about the packages. even throwing them around sometimes for kicks, especially ones that say "dell" on it.

im going to try this install this weekend. hope all goes well!
