Angry Stock Gauges fading???

So, I have installed 2 blitz ID gauges, and Indiglo Backlighting gauges for my WRX. Prior to both of these however, my stock gauges began to fade. I turn the lights off and everything works right, turn them on and everything is incredibly faded, barely lit at all. Any ideas here?

did the dash display look faded (not bright) also - when i say dash display, i actually mean the center console stuff like HVAC controls. there is a ring on your turn stalk that controls the dimmer for the backlighting on these guages. i guess i'm not sure if this is also the control for your indiglos. but i'd guess that's it
