Post 18" wheels, will they fit?

Will the Prodrive O.Z. P1 18x7.5 fit my car with a stock body, someone told me it wouldn't i haven't done anything to the exterior of the car or anything to drop it and i want the 18" wheels. I hope it fits. i will be running 215 40ZR18 Yokahama Paradas. It's a 2000 Impreza coupe RS.

I've seen 18x7's +50 fit on a lowered RS, but don't know if that extra half inch in width will make a difference. I think you should be fine as they are an option on the UK P1 which does sit lower than the US Impreza RS.

I have the exact same setup, but on a 02 WRX sedan. The overall diameter is actually slightly less than stock, so it's the width that might be a problem, which is rubbing against the strut tower. I hope someone with a RS will have a definite answer. You're always welcome to drive up to RI to swap on mine, if you want to be 100% sure.

flipguy80,
What kind of Impreza do you drive? I have a MY99 2.5RS and was considering the 18" P1's with Kumho 712 in 225/40/R18 (after the wedding expenses are taken care of ). My friend has the setup I just mentioned and he's had some rubbing with the left rear wheel but not the others. Have you had similar problems?

The 18's should fit fine. I run 225/40/18s and no rubbing problems.

Conduit - of course the 18" P1 don't rub on a WRX, but I was referring to the original poster who has a 2000 RS.

Don't go with the Paradas the section width(8.9) is a little wide and I have heard they are great rain tires but not very good for stickiness.

Check out the Falken FK451(GRB) in size 215 40 18. Section width is 8.6" and a diameter of 24.7. They would be $149 shipped to my door from www.vulcantire.com. These are a much higher performance tire.

Roll that fender lip. You won't be able to avoid it in the future when you put performance suspension on there. You'll thank me when you do.
