I snipped this from the VCD. It shows the gauge warm up sequence. Pretty neato stuff... wonder if I'd ever get tired of it though?

Someone took a vid clip of the US STi starting up (which, fortunately, looks exactly the same) and had it posted up here at some point. I'm sorry, but that's one of the coolest things about the car. I was probably as excited about the fact that we got that guage cluster as I was the 2.5, etc. etc. OK, not really, but it's still damn cool!

I think that its simple enough that it will never get tiring. It will probably loose its "wow" factor after a while, but I doubt it would ever be annoying.

I asked this question yesterday, what does the display under the fuel/temp tell you? I guess the one under the speedo is the odometer, right? It's hard to see in the video.

Agreed, it looks cool. And, ayep, that's my understanding as to the function of that light.

I've read there is also a buzzer. I hope the buzzer can be turned off for daily driving.

The video of the new look STi and WRX on the global Subaru site has a brief clip of the shift "buzzer" and light going off. It doesn't sound annoying at all. More of a beep beep beep rather than a buzzer.

Does it look like an automatic? Look gas and tempature gauge. Looks like it is in P- for park? They don't make automatic STi's do they?
I hope our speedo says 180mph, how hard is it to switch a kmph to just mph? Not too hard I bet. Of coarse a 200mph speedo would be even better. (excuse my wishful thinking)
