Default Question about STi foglight covers.

I know this may seem like a stupid question, but i don't understand the purpose of foglight covers. I understand that they would keep the lights cleaner than having them exposed. But what if you need them while driving in inclimate weather. I suppose that my real question is how easy are they to remove? On the 2002 U.K. STi the covers looked like they were actually screwed/fastened on somehow. I dont see any screws on the new one, so how does the cover stay over the lights and is it easy to remove?

You know there are no foglights behind them, right?

(there is no foglight switch either...)

I found this on another forum:

Quote:
My Girlfriend works for Subaru and worked the Auto show tonight so I got to see this thing in person. EMOTIONAL.....one word. ...The steering wheel is noticeably smaller. I saw a auto climate control button on the center console and the headlights can be adjusted from inside the car by a switch next to where the foglight switch is. There are 4 settings for headlight aim.

Perhaps they meant where it usually is or were wrong and meant the cruise control switch.

Please do a search in this forum.

there's no cruise switch either Glenn... that's on the cruise stalk now like Toyota has.

I the only switch there now is the water spray if I remember right

The only switches that had any function in that group on the left of the console are: IC Water Spray and Headlight Angle Adjustment.

This was on the car at the Petersen Museum in LA.

What everyone is saying is true, foglight's will not come on the STi as a standerd feature, it was indicated at the Portland show that they might be an optional thing.
