Thumbs up Everything you wanted to know about the WRC but were afraid to ask

Simon De Banke ( Webmaster of www2.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs) has started a very interesting thread to answer all those behind the scenes at the WRC questions that everyone has..

Oh for those that don't know Simon is heavily involved with all the technology side of all the WRC rounds as he says....

Quote:
- My Involvement

Very briefly, I work for ISC-Technologies and have 2 roles, one on-event and another off-event. On event I manage the rally hq side for results and safety tracking acting as a conduit between the sporting side and the technology. Off-event I write the software to turn the raw data in to results and again, using my unusual combination of sporting and technical experience, assist in the integration of the two.
This ( http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=175894 is the first in what promises to be an interesting series of threads

All the best for this weekend. I'll be thinking of you guys up in Snowy Canada..

Now, you just make sure that you keep it out of the Snow banks this year...Okay!!!

We want NO more of this..... LOL

Mind you it was a VERY fun ride just before..

OBTW looks like we are going to get involvd in the rally scene down here.. There's a fully prepared Mk2 Escort that I have my eyes on which could be a fun starter car..

Well gotta co-drive something

Obviously given up on the digging by that point.

I thought the best off that day was your earlier one when you became a magnet for Jamie and the Audi 4000 (which demonstrated some precision parking alongside you).

Bill Westhead was the checkpointer at that corner and has a most excellent video. Very funny stuff.
