Default 215/45/17? or 225/45/17 on SDRs

Like the subject says, ...I am unclear if I should run 215 or 225 tires with my SDR's, I know sometimes its dependent on the tire..(I have a GC8)

I read somewhere while I was searching for this information that sometimes tires ...such as Azenis, seem to run a bit wider..

Im thinking about Pzeros, Azenis, S-03s, or Parada Spec 2's (Paradas only come in 215 I believe)

I have been using first generation Paradas on my stock wheels and I am accustomed to really good grippy tire..(I like it) but since Im getting new wheels, I need some help in deciding the tires as well. (Plus tired of low profile tires on such small rims...guess my mileage is suffering for no reason)

I guess Im asking your help in deciding a decent tire and size for these wheels...

If you guys/gals know of any specials, that would be great too!

Thanks!

from what i've heard, 225's will definetly rub, and there's a good chance even 215 will rub slightly as well.

I just ordered a set of SDR's myself and plan on putting 215 Kuhmo MX's on them. They're the closest you can get to azenis in the 215 size.

well i was going to get S-03's as everyone and their brother recommends them, but I plan on doing a lot of autocross and it seemed the MX was a bit sticker and would be better for that. The S-03's might have a little better ride quality, but IMO the MX has a little better autoX performance. I don't have any personal experience with either of these though, its just what i've been told.

not to mention the kumho's are about $40 each less than the s03's.

as I said in the other thread asking basically the same question, I can say with reasonable certainty that with either the s03's or the kumho's you will rub, as they are a little wider than the tires Fred Z. is running (712's) or mine (KDW's)
