Default Western Mass Impreza Owners: Meet at UMass for Kart Trak Feb 15, 2003

There is a Kart Trak meet this Saturday at Noon. A group of us is meeting at the UMass Transit Bus Garage at 11:05. It's located in the Northwest corner of campus.

Just drive straight in and you'll see visitor parking... look for my blue wagon. No speeding in the Transit compound please! (limit = 10 mph) We'll leave at 11:15 (this should give us plenty of time).

Edit: The meet time has been pushed up two hours. The above times are updated: we leave UMass at 11:15!

I'll be there. For some weird reason, I love driving in formation.

No speeding in the lot? Deslock, you are acting as if you work there!!! Don't forget your two-way radios.

Time has been pushed up two hours. Karts is now starting at Noon, so we'll be leaving UMass at 11:15. If anyone is planning on meeting at UMass, please sound off.

Any FRS radio will do (you can get them at Best Buy, Walmart, Radio Shack, etc...). Has anyone heard from the rest of the UMass-crowd? So far three of us have confirmed to meet at UMass (more WMIC folks will being meeting us at Karts).

chiming in. I will be there and might bring a friend with me. I will mention something to girl4rs if I talk to her later to see if shes interested in going or not.

Also on another note I might need some help parting out my car at some point in the very near future as well as changing the oil and putting it all back to stock if anyones interested in helping patch up some holes with bubble gum and duct tape lemme know. I also might need some stock panels to replace some of mine with if anyone knows where i can get a stock a pillar post piece and also the piece of plastic that goes around the ebrake. for some reason mine have holes in em.

haha maybe a mid 90's ford F250 or a bronco or something like that im getting rid of the car because it just costs to much, to drive, to fix, in payments, in speeding tickets.. you name it.

Im going to get my debt under control and then will have something nicer as a daily drive in a year or so. I have two other toys at home that i own outright to make fast or insane no need to do it with a car i still owe money on.

BAH!

I almost got pulled over on the way home.
I feel bad for the other blue WRX that did.

We weren't even doing anything! I raced up to wave to him, then while speeding off, I see flashing lights, and he's being pulled over...

Why do I feel like the cop pulled him over thinking "LOOK! Two blue WRXs! I'll bet they're racing! I'll get that one with the American flag and driving the speed limit, and ignore that guy with the wing and Subaru decals! He could probably outrun me!"

Oh yeah... And if you didn't notice...
I've now joined up with NASIOC!

Had a good time, and was nice you meet you guys!

Not sure how many heard earlier, but next Saturday (feb 22nd), I've got a small dinner meet going. 7pm or so on the Berlin Turnpike. Possible few people off clubwrx, but as obviously pointed out... Bigger regional base here. Been trying to decide on Friendlys, the diner there, or Ruby Tuesdays.
Matt and I talked shortly, and agree the diner parking lot is a bit small. Friendlys closes before parents put their kids to sleep!
Between the 3 though, if anyone has a preference, let me know!
Ruby Tuesdays does have the plus a full bar avaiable!

Speed, that TOTALLY sucks that you were late. We werent sure if you were definitely coming or not and it was REAL cold outside. I think we waited until about 11:30 or so.

Zapix, good meeting you also. Who got nabbed on the way home? I'll have to see how things are going for that Berlin TPKE meet coming up. That is quite the haul from my house.

We left at 11:20. Why didn't you just meet us down there? We stopped at Subaru in Riverdale on the way so you woulda beat us. Anyway, it was fun and we'll probably do it again in a few weeks.

Nobody from the meet fortunately. Now that I look back at it, whoever was driving it, was in total ghetto cruiser position! One hand on the wheel, and looking in the glove compartment to see the road. That or looking for his Fast & The Furious manual on using 'NOS'! Eitherway, I got away! Always have, and intend on keeping it that way!!!!

Speed, all you needed to know was 'Exit 42'
