Default auto dimming mirror ?

is there anyway to make the default off on the mirror.
i hate having to hit the button all the time to turn it off.
i'd rather turn on the car and have it be off, then i could hit the button when i want it on.

Well you would just have to run "most" of the current power wire to a switch and bring a wire back to the mirror. The wires going into the mirror have special connectors that would have to be left in there.
