Default Alternate wheels on the STi?

Does anyone know (or have a reasonable guess) whether the champagne colored, 5-spoke Legacy B4 17" x 7" wheels available from dealers (see: 3rd item down at http://www.subaruparts.com/catalog/?section=171) would fit over the STi brakes?

I'm thinking way ahead, but it's just for fun.

Thanks.

I would assume the answer is no. Most 17" x 8" Wheels can't fit over those calipers. There is a little on the subject on Mike Shields' Site, www.spdusa.com about this. BTW, why would you want to ditch beautiful, forged, lightweight BBS wheels for a heavier cast wheel in 17" x 7"?

There is a good thread on wheels on this forum, do a search.
(and no, I bet those wheels don't fit though I have yet to confirm it)

It's not that I would ditch the BBS wheels. But, they come with summer tires, and I was thinking about the possibility of using a second set of wheels (that I happen to own already) and mounting all season tires for the winter.

Few 17" wheels can fit the brembos under.

All season tires or winter tires?

Actually some STi version 7 wheels would make a good alternet (of course those fit over the brakes).

Prodrive PFF7s? P1s?
