Default Wheel color option as per dealer

Just to let you all know, my dealer called me and said that he needs to know what color wheels I want my STi to come with, and that he knows I wanted blue car, but doesn't know if I want Gold or Gunmetal wheels. He said he just got this information and needs to know which color I prefer.

Of course I prefer Gold if I'm getting a WRB STi

Anyway, just thought you'd all like to know.

Given that your dealer buys its cars from Subaru of New England and not Subaru of America, I wouldn't be surprised if you have a choice of wheel options different from those offered in the rest of the country. For instance, SNE currently offers a port-installed option package for the WRX called the RW2 that is unavailable in the rest of the country and includes Prodrive P1 17 inch wheels with Pirelli P7000 Super Sport tires.

The different distributorships can be a pain when you're trying to pick options and figure prices. When I got my OBS, Subaru Distributors Corp (NY/NJ) didn't carry the optional OBS alloy wheels.

When I got my WRX, some of the packages listed on Edmunds.com were not available through SDC. I ended up paying slightly more for the options because I had to get them a la carte.
