Question DRLs and Alarm headlight flash

Just got my WRX wagon yesterday and my first mod will be a quick death to DRLs. I tried unplugging the white plug behind the glove box, but that also disabled the light flash when I arm the alarm (which I vastly prefer to the horn chirp). Anyone have a fix to this? I know I can unplug the silver box under the hood, but I'd like to eventually put in new lights and I think that usually requires unplugging the white plug. Thanks.

Disabling the DRLs if done properly will have no effect on the parking lights, including whether they flash with the alarm.
Assuming you disconnected the right connector and all your lights work normally otherwise without the DRL function, it is likely that you somehow put the alarm system into valet mode which will prevent the parking lights from flashing.
