Thumbs up Primitive Racing

Paul Ecklund is one helluva guy to deal with. He was more than willing to work with me to get me a brake upgrade in time for a track day, and still be patient enough with me after financial dificulties arrose with paying him (damn work paycheck bounced at the wrong time....is there ever a good time?)
Buy stuff from him, you wont be sorry...

Yep I had the same experience when I purchased one of their racing clutches. Paul was extremely helpful over the phone with install information. Great guy.

I'll vouch for Paul as well. Haven't bought anything from him, but I have worked on his car. He's a very decent guy to deal with.

Yup, thumb's up for Paul.
I'm happy with the front and rear skidplates, and Paul was upfront about the issue where the exhaust header may bang against the front plate. He answered questions, and let me know when responses would be delayed due his racing schedule.
I'd definitely buy from him again.

Again, I have had excellent dealings with Paul/Primitive Racing.

I've got the front legacy skidplate and also had a set of the axxis/repco brake pads.

Paul answered my emails within a day or less each time and gave me some great tips on the brake work.

Whenever I find a good job and have some more money to throw at the car, I know one place that I will definatly be shopping at.

The front plate does buzz against the headers a little during rough shifts, but it just gives me more feedback. I could fix it if I had bothered to use the spacers he suggested, but it isn't a big deal for me.

my thumbs up!

I ordered his new Ston Guards and fog light covers and got them within a week. Paul answered all my questions quickly. I just have to wash my car now.

Thanks.

Paul is top notch. After turbocharging my car back in 1999, the stock clutch quickly went bad. Back in 1999 there wasn't too much available aftermarket wise for the Impreza. Paul offered the 4 puck clutch via Primitive. I asked him a bunch of questions, and he was refreshingly honest. "I don't know if it will hold the power, but I've had the same one on my rally car for three years (or whatever) and it's never given me any problems." He shipped it out to me priority because I needed it before going to a track event.

I've bought from Paul a few times now and each time everything was shipped promptly and received as ordered.
(FWIW - In my travels across the various forums here I have yet to see a bad comment when the subject of Primitive comes up)

Default Thanks everyone

I hadn't seen this post before and was pleased with all the responses.

I try hard, but I have messed up a few times. I hope to continue to serve all my customers as best as possible and bring value to the Subaru performance arena.

Thanks, Pe

Thumbs up Didn't order from him, but...

I wanted to order a certain part for my WRX wagon from Primitive and sent an inquiry regarding if it would fit. Paul actually spent the time to write back to me 3 times just to keep me up to date with his investigation! It ended up not fitting, but with service like that I'm looking forward to dealing with him.

Thumbs up Thumbs up for Paul/Primitive

Ordered a front lip from him. Received it on time and of good quality.

Paul maintained excellent communications during the whole buying process.

Before - to answer questions
During - to let me know delivery details
After - to make sure I was satisfied

Recommend this company highly.

We just purchased Paul's yellow mesh foglamp covers for Vickey's wrx. Paul is always a pleasure to deal with, and we received the foglamp covers within a few days. Vendor-to-vendor, Paul is always friendly and cooperative; as a racer, his record speaks for itself! Thanks, again, Paul. Hope to see you at the LB Grand Prix!

Thumbs up Primitive Enterprises

I ordered a radiator cover from Mr. Eklund which arrived bent courtesy of the United States Postal Service. I e-mailed Mr. Eklund about it and he shipped a replacement even before receiving the damaged one. No hassle, no fingerpointing, no lame excuses just excellent customer service. Will definitely do business with him again.

I second that. Paul is always very responsive via email and phone. Always keeps me up-to-date, if things are on back order. He's very good at shipping to you immediately and took back a item I bought that didn't fit, and refunded my money immediately! Will continue to do business w/Primitive.
