Default Radio / No radio?

Anyone know where the antenna is on the STI? Could it be one of those that run across the top of the windshield? Anyone getting the scubie 6 disc?

The radio is a dealer installed option, from the STi i saw in Portland the antenna was in the rear windshield.

"In the rear window" ??????? As in they drilled a hole in it? Like a old car phone antenna?

Go find an newer Acura and look at the rear window. You'll see some additional lines that kinda look like the rear window defroster, but they are actually an antenna. I think they run vertically down the center of the window.

Actually, its kind of built into the rear defroster. It looks just like an extra squigly line like he said. The newest legacies have it if you want to see it.

Default antenna

In the newer outback the antenna is in driver's side back glass, not the rear window. Or if you want to see another example go find a '72 Oldsmobile Toronado. The antenna was in the front windshield. Two thin wires that ran up the middle of the glass and then horizontally across the top.

my 77 Nova had it in the window too. It's not a new concept, just cheaper to have an external antenna.

Well our 2000 Legacy GT sedan has it in the rear windshield, as will the 04 impreza's.

I wish they had a "no air-conditioning" option that could save me a few hundred dollars.

To make matters worse AC is standard on the cheapest in the Subaru line, the TS sport wagon, there would be no one to sell the AC system to
