Thumbs up New Turbo Forrester

I went to the local dealer today and was told about the new STi. I also was informed on the new "limited" production Forrester that is coming out the same time. Supposedly, it has the 2.5 turbo in it. I don't know whether it is the same one in the STi Rex, but it still would have a nice charm to it. Anyone else hear these rumors. Also, my contact said the cars (STi WRX) would be availiable in June and would be limited (just like the WRX's were in the beginning) to 300 cars for the US. I just can't wait....

i think your source is wrong.

STi's should be available with closer to 1500-2000 available first year. unless you meant for the first month in which case .... my bad.

Your dealer is sadly wrong.

its 4000-5000 a year for the STI, and the Turbo forester will probably not be limited production either.

They are just trying to jack up the price obviously.

ditto. there is another thread about this further down. i was at the dealer the other day and was told that it was a retuned wrx motor (for more torque)... pretty much the same as the xt turbo that's in japan right now... wish they would send us the cross sport though

Sorry, when I said 300.. I meant 300 per month.... and the dealer I am going to is asking MSRP and no more. That's a promise they're willing to put in writing (with a small REFUNDABLE deposit).. If anyone needs further info email me..;-) I'll be glad to point you all to him.. I bought two REX's from him already, and still have yet to find some one else who has received a better deal.. As for the Forrester, he was VERY positive it also was going to have the 2.5l Turbo. The dealers have all recieved word on the new arrivals and they are scheduled to go to a "class" to help them with the "new" models in March/April... Believe you me, this man's a personal friend and I trust him to the Nth degree... Just trying to pass the word around... as for the list he has.... their are currently 15 people on it... and they are buying the STi at MSRP.... SO a word to those out there, there are scam dealers who will skyrocket the prices just to get money.. and their are others who will take what MSRP is... take care..

Best suggestion, If ya can't get it at (or better below) MSRP, go elsewhere.....One should NEVER pay more then the MSRP (and remember folks, MSRP isn't the same as dealer invoice) Most dealers will work with you on price and you should be able to get most ANY vehicle below MSRP (of course demand plays a big part)

Three cheers for Paul. The proverbial horse's mouth. Most dealers' information on the other hand, I would class as coming from the other end of the horse.

the engine will be semi-decked and have a TD04 turbo in it.
