Default Attention ckevin of Carlsen Subaru

I'm bringing my car in for a 15000 tuneup and would like to get some issues resolved. How long would the car need to stay for the following issues?

Clutch shudder (getting the new clutch and fly wheel)
TSB# 03-51-02

Trunk lock cylinder replacement
TSB# 12-74-01

Seat Belt Latch
TSB# 17-06-01

OBD2 Data Link connectors
TSB# 11-65-01

ECU reflash (someone told me last time I was there that there was one for the 02 WRX)

Something rattling around in my front driver-side door (think a bolt or something is rolling around)

A faulty handle piece (the handle above the driver-side rear door where passengers can hold onto )

and last but not least
the 15k tune-up (but I don't want the oil changed, I'll do that myself)

Also, what days is the Service Dept open?

Hi,

I was wondering if you managed to the service dept to work on the clutch shudder? Did they insist on reproducing the problem first? since it can take 2-3 days for it to happen again (weather issue? and in the mornings) . It may be hard to reparied through this TSB without paying out of your own pocket

Thanks

I don't have time to take my car to service until the end of March. However, due to a released TSB, I am determined to get the clutch assembly fixed as the clutch shudder during the cold mornings is starting to get to me.

I'm determined to get it fixed to, however I got the following fromt he service dept today:

from service dept:
- they will fix it, if they can reproduce it
- they will not loan a car whilst they try to reproduce it
- if they do loan a car and they cant reproduce it, i need to pay for the car rental
- they will not spend more than 3 days to try to reproduce it
- if you want them to spend more than 3 days to reproduce, i have to pay them XX dollars an hour to reproduce

from consumer point of view:
- clutch shudder only happens about 2-3 times a week in the morning (depends of weather/moisture??). So its possible the dealer can not reproduce it within 3 days
- will not have a car while its being reproduced. very troublesome. would expect more service for a 25k car
- Clutch shudder happening frequently is not enough to cover the TSB. It has to happen VERY frequently.

so basically, i will have to rent a car out of my own pocket while the dealer reproduces problem and they will spend no more than 3 days to try. Sounds reasonable but makes it very difficult for the consumer to ever get the problem fixed.

I took my WRX into Carlsen Sub last week to get a rattle fixed in the door. When I got it back, they mentioned that the clutch shuddered and that they already ordered the part and they would call me to schedule a time to get it replaced. I'm going in next Tuesday. I've got to give them props.

Not if you get the shudder every morning like some of us. I'm making the trip to SCS this weekend to get it looked at.
