Default ECU: Xede vs UTEC

Hey guys, my wrx is in storage right now but when I get back to Hawaii in 2 months I want to put an aftermarket ECU into it. I know that the UTEC is pretty much the favorite of wrx owners, but Vishnu is releasing the XEDE. I know the XEDE hasn't been proved or reviewed as much as a UTEC, but Shiv has yet to disappoint.
I have quite a bit of aftermarket parts: turbo, intercooler, etc. I really need a better ECU, but I have only fundamental knowledge of engine interworking and only a basic idea of how to tune, I'm trying to learn but it is slow going. I have read up on A LOT of ECUs and have narrowed it down, but I just wanted to see what you guys had to say on them, seeing as there are some very knowledgeable people in this forum. Also I know alot of you have upgraded your ECUs and have yet to give me bad advise! I want my wrx to run safer and hopefully faster after I get some much needed tuning. Any advice, or pro/cons on piggyback vs standalone would be much appriciated. Thanks in advance.
