Just like it says has anyone jumped their P1 susp? How high was the jump? and How was the landing, stiff and shaky or soft and solid?
thanks

I did, twice. Once it was 30mph, and a sharp angled upwards slope, maybe 4,5 inches, it was a relatively hard landing, but controlled, and composed itself real quick. Another time, at 60, over table top type thing, and it got up maybe an inch or two. But what impressed me about the second one was that it absorbed the bump real good, and then got composed real quick and didn't get squirly at all. Although it probably wears struts real quick, the second one, i didn't mean to jump, and don't plan to again. Talk to you later.

I did, I min-van almost killed me forcing me to hit a curb straigh on at about 60 mph. I got what seemed to be about 2 feet of air. and then recovered it easily and went after her. The car didn't bottom out on the ground, and it seems smooth enough considering. I needed and alignment after though. It was probably from the curb though not the landing.

I haven't jumped with P1 but with AGXs. Nice back road with a drop away. It's good for about two feet believe it or not. The landing is on a downhill so it's not as bad as it sounds. I did it in an 82 ponticrap grand prix a few years ago.. and bottomed the thing hard, I saw sparks fly out of the rear from the frame dragging. That was scary, but in the subie it's wonderful.

Just so it gets said - don't jump your car. If you're asking questions like this, you're probably not ready to be going airborne. Do yourself a favor. Let it go.

No I have already jumped my car plenty of times. I have strictly a stock RS and the jumping with the susp that comes with the car has been very exceptional.
I am just wondering about jumping with the P1 setup b/c I am thinking about getting it for my car. I drive my car pretty hard usually getting some kind of air about once or twice a week simply b/c it is TOO MUCH FUN!!! Rally ON my friends, rally on... |
