I realize that you will never show the threads of your posts to your parents but if you do: tell them to be sure to keep the picture that you have in your post - you're a good looking kid and I would want them to remember you the way you used to look. I also know a very good social worker who could give them excellent advice on the parenting skills for a 16 year old.

Congrats man, enjoy the car. You're lucky to have parents that are well off.

But dig through the negativity in the posts above and please listen to the underlying message.

That is a lot of car, drive safe. The last thing you want is the guilt on your shoulders the rest of your life if you seriously injure or kill a friend or a loved one.

Please drive responsibly. That vehicle is not a toy, the moment you start to treat it like one, it will proably kill you.

Nice ride. You're really lucky. Don't drive drunk, and don't do stupid stuff and you'll be fine. There's a lot of jealousy and spite goin around, especially during financially tough times for a lot of people (myself definitely included). What did you have before the new wheels?

Congrats! Drive safely.

My parents bought me a 3 series when I was old enough to drive. I spun it into a guardrail before I realized I had no idea how to drive... and now I'm 25 & still learning.

So enjoy safely, & Merry Xmas!

Congrats man!!

Enjoy the car and drive carefully with respect for everyone on the road.

I payed for my first car and still got in about 7 accidents.

I suggest you get a MBC and turn the boost down till you get used to it.

I got a WRX when I turned 18...bought it by myself. I wish my parents could have purchased it for me, but at least they're paying the insurance. I also bought my old 68 mustang, and newer generation celica neither of which I have anymore so I could get the WRX. Just respect it, it seems like a lot of people I know are getting WRX's for their 16th birthday and things like this. I don't think it's appropriate, but if your parents are that nice, good for you.

Well I cant say that I'm not jealous, because I am(but not REALLY jealous, because Im getting one too, I just have to wait for the 04s). But thats cool that your folks are well off enough to get that for you. Congrats on your first car. Like everyone else said, be careful with it. Try to go to a driving school of somesort and/or a track day sometime, learn the limits of your car, and more importantly yourself in a controled enviornment. Enjoy it!

Looks like a Merc to me. January 8th? Bummer man, there's the big 48 hours meet/GT3/WRC/hooters/Hook Jiffy up with Tapper's Sister extravaganza on the 4th. Who knows, maybe my car will even be running long enough to make it! (I gotta stop this stuff before Brian gets mad.)
