Question 225/50/16 on Rota Slipstreams on a GC8...?

I searched the crap out of 225/50/17's to see if folks have rubbing issues on GC8's... Aparently they do, as I figured..
But I'm looking into Slipstreams with 225/50/16 Khumo MX's and my suspension is very close to stock height stiff as crap (GC coilover springs with AGX struts, like 275/225 spring rates)

Anyone have a clue to if ill have issues?

I raced last season on 225 50-16 Hoosiers on 99 RS wheels. I had to use a 1/4 inch spacer in the rear and roll the fenders.

The Hoosiers are probably a bit wider and shorter than your MXs. I would guess that where you will run into issues is the rear fender. The offset of the slipstreams should keep the tire off of the strut body (a problem I had with the Hoosiers). But you may run into issues with rubbing on the rear fender lip unless you roll them.

If you really think that your suspension in the rear is not gonna bring the fender down to the top of the wheel you could be okay. but if it compresses enough your gonna hit. 225 45 17 at tarmacs did, as did 215 50 16 on 01RS wheels on my old GC8.

your prolly gonna have to roll the fenders at least.

Well, my rear suspension doesnt move even if you sit on the trunk and jump up an down Its pretty stiff... but I dont know how much it rolls in the corners.

I still need to find someone to buy my wheels+tires I have on there now for like $230 for me to even afford this...
