Default ECUTEK=GOOD Friend's driving=BAD

Let me start by saying the ECUTEK is awesome and Shiv thanks for the great work. I remember someone stating that you are in for the ride of your life when he is behind the wheel and they were not kidding. There definatly more power and it runs even smoother then stock. So I was in a good mood tonight after ditching class for the ecutek flash, I decided to let one of my friends drive it for the first time. Well on 880 heading towards San Jose comes a WRB WRX with what looked like a straight pipe for a muffler (by chance was that anyone here?) and so my friend wanted to push it a little. Well when the other guy was behind us, my buddy downshifted from 5th and missed 4th and went into 2nd! This was at like 80mph too. The short throw was a little too close for him and now I'm praying my engine doesn't take a dump on me anytime soon. I guess only time will tell.

Take it from me, NEVER let anyone else drive your car. I learned a 12.5 thousand dollar lesson the hard way. And my cousin has yet to drive any of our vehicles since.

Yeah I'll be careful by never letting him back in my drivers seat.

How close is he to you??

I let other subie owners drive my car... cause they are also in the tranny dump, they know to take care of it.

Aaron let me borrow the car tuesday, and show cased it at UCKK... I drove it around all afternoon! Never abused, as i would never do so with anyones car. But i think also, when some says "hey man, take it easy, but don't push it" they should...

man, that sucks, but hey, I think you'll be fine. I'd replace the tranny fluid with some thick stuff, and baby it.

-Gagan, vrooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!! WOOOSH!
