This is my APS DR725 on my 2005 STI. I put down 401whp and 365wtq a few weeks back. I am also very pleased with how my FMIC install turned out. Thanks to all the people who gave me advice a few hundred posts back.
I really need to take some new pictures because these are a bit out of date. I have done a ton of work since them and the install looks even better. During the install: Done:

So you got another prodrive bumper to cut? Are you going to put something in front of the i/c to protect it?

Cheers guys,
scby rex, yeah i managed to find another Prodrive bumper, do you have any idea how rare these things are? lol. I was also supprised at how much of the bumper i had to remove for the end tanks on the DR725. Its a big ass cooler lol. I did think about a few ideas, a) Possibly paint the cooler black b) Leave it as is and black mesh in front c) Black with mesh d) Paint the cooler metalic silver Im inclined to leave it as is as i dont want to see little silver stone chips on it if i paint it black. Also i cant seem to find OEM quality mesh to fit to the bumper. Any thoughts? |

frayz, does prodrive make a lower mesh kit to fit their bumper? if I remember correctly, they make an upper and lower kit to fit the regular bugeye bumper. Maybe contact them and see if that kit will work on your bumper. Car looks awesome btw, fitment of that core, and the bumper cutting came out perfect. What fmic kit is that, and also can I have your other bumper?

Yes prodrive made a mesh but i never liked it to be honest. I want some nice plastic coated mesh that is the same as my grille. Cant seem to find any good stuff though The FMIC is an APS DR725, with the polished stainless pipework. Sorry im not selling my other bumper, its just too rare to let go, besides you'd have to take a ticket and form a que for it. Ive people falling over themselves to try and have that off of me lol. |
