Default Damn...just got a ticket

Going down Fair Oaks blvd there was a motorcop radaring me as I went over the Sac River.... I was doing 56 (marked 54) in a 40 zone (not knowing it WAS a 40 zone).

Im gonna go to court TOMORROW to get theis settled and over with. (Hopefully I won't be in the system yet and will get off again!) Damn this sucks, but luckily I have traffic school as a backup.

Oh well, just thought I'd tell u guys...looks like another 18 months of grandma driving for me.

I got screwed. Cop said I didn't pull over to the right, when I did (after I pulled over to the left). Plus over 20 above the speed limit (for about one second as I adjusted the radio). The cop didn't file the ticket for 3 months. Maybe hoping I wouldn't contest it that way.

As I said, I'm going in tomorrow to get it cleared.

Hoping it's not in the system and they will tell me to come back (which it says you may come ANY TIME before the court date).

Did you go before the judge? I just looked and in Sacramento County...it's "Restricted" and says you must contact the courts for approval to take the course.

Actually, did you get your ticket in Sacramento County?

I was on that street the other day and saw a couple of police on motor bikes...

Lucky I was just cruz'n...there was this Acura look at me like he wanted some too but just looked at him like he was crazy for trying and just keep cruz'n!

City streets are no place to fool around...never know where the cops are hiding out...Knock on wood!!!!

Lowball. Ya, thing is I wasnt screwing around, i was crusing too, just too fast :P

Oh well, got the ticket paid for $87 (ticket) + $30 (traffic school) = $117. I think I got off pretty good.

I also realized I speed more after getting off 80 and going to school than I do coming home at all. Nice thing is Roseville has high speed limits (45+ unless its reseidential) so I dont really WANT to speed there.

Yeah you know what I mean though...

It seems like the only time I've gotten a ticket for speeding was on the Freeway when there was no one else around

I just did the online traffic school and paid the ticket. No tickets yet in the WRX surprisingly...Knock on wood once again...

Ya, I was first in the line of cars...and as for freeways, I try and keep it under 85, and for the little times Im actually ON the freeway, I know that cops arent really on there.

CHP seems to have better things to do than sit and radar people.

If you want to contest the ticket ask to see when the last time the radar gun was calibrated

$1200 impound + $640 fine = street racing. DURP! I was an idiot, but its not the end of the world.

Ironically I've never gotten a ticket in my WRX. However, I had a little incident with the cops before. I had a bat in my car and I pulled it out just as protection from this lunatic road raging dude. Cop came out of nowhere and busted me, almost went to Juvenile Hall for it. Luckily he let me off understanding I wasn't going to attack but self-defend instead. Therefore, I just have a profile with the San Jose Police Department.

Anyways, the only speeding ticket I've ever gotten was driving my mom's gold Sienna van! Two Porsches on 280 were going at it and they pull me over!?!? Friends say they couldn't catch up to the Porsches so they prey on me instead! Anyways, ticket was like $150.00 doing 85 on a 65 mph zone.

No problems with my WRX and I plan on keeping it that way! *Knock on wood*
