Question TC mods....why has no one used Precision Industries?

PI restalls converters for the WRX also. It is about $450 from what I remember + a $300 core fee. Why hasn't anyone gone this route?

Pro torque only charges 400$... A torque converter mod is a torque converter mod, no matter where you get it.

precision industries doesnt list a wrx tc on their site but maybe its just not an updated site ..

http://www.converter.com/dragon.htm

another company .. TCI has lots of tc experience, only list Honda applications on their site .. i think i saw something about them on High-Rev Tuners or something ..

http://www.tciauto.com/sport_compact.htm

pro torque lists the wrx version and quotes nasioc memberJorge on its performance..

I called PI, and they told me they restall them. I like their core charge way, where I don't need another converter.

A Dragon is a totally different converter. They are a 9.5" I think.

Yes apparently they have them and do a core charge. www.converter.com call them. They may not do them anymore, who knows.

I would ask how many TC mods for the WRX Precision Industries has performed and do you want to be a test subject.

Well I've used PI products in the past and they worked great. I don't think they would do something for me that wouldn't be backed or done properly. They build some of the best converters on the market today.

Also, I have never seen of or heard of a PI converter failing in street or strip cars. Now Yank converters I have seen a few fail.

Yes, Big Joe, I'd be a test subject b/c I am confident my converter would be done correctly to my specs from them. Anything else smart to say?

Not trying to be a smart ass. It's all good. I just never read any post about Precision Industries before. I know Protorque has done many many WRX TC's and because of that they have the experience in putting together a nice TC.

Let us know how it goes.

Well, your comment seemed like a smart ass reply. Sorry from me also.

I too have never seen anyone here with a PI converter. I am sure someone has one. PI makes tons of converters for Z-28's, 5.0's, etc.

Either way, once I get it I'll enlighten everyone about it.
