Default A/F gauge installed now car runs like doo doo

Like I said.Hooked up the purple wire to front a/f sensor wire(B134A, thick white wire in center of loom) Power and ground off of cigar lighter,Car idled like the a/f sensor had gone bad.( erratic idle) and was semi hesitant when accelerating,Disconnected the gauge and re-programmed the ecm (its kind of nic to have one at your disposal) and the car runs fine now.

Soooooo what did I do wrong?

ben you of all people should know better, the front sensor reads in mA not volts, your guage is screwing with the readings, pull it out.

Tapped the wrong sensor. You need B17 which is the sensor reading go to scoobymods.com if you need the ecu pin diagram. Also there are somewhat detailed instructions on how to hook it up there..
