Thumbs up Sheer Genious

I NEED THIS. Where did you get that carbon fiber sheet? How do you keep the piece attached to the shifter flush to the bottom of the large panel?

Thank you,

Tony

Hehe - I like it - it looks cool, and quite different, just be careful during the summertime - you'll burn your hand in a matter of seconds trying to shift with that ball - that thing'll heat up like the surface of the sun

I still like and very interested on how you did it. I have a carbon fiber shift knob from www.lnronline.com . I think it will compliment the trim very well.

So you cut a hole in the carbon fiber and then added on the little square piece so that it wouldnt show the hole...

I am going to make a brushed aluminum piece, with actual gates soon. Carbon looks good too.

Hey, I fiddled with this idea a year and a half ago Granted it wasnt in CF, but I had that design all worked out ready to go in paper form

here is a site that can order CF sheet
some pretty expensive stuff.. but if it is cut to several parts per sheet than it is quite profitable

That's a great idea Bobalouy. I was actually thinking of making small mud flaps out of carbon fiber, but this would make a nice CF package look.

How did you attach the lower floating piece to the shifter?
