Smile New WRX owner in new house in new area!

'ello,

I have just bought a WRX and on the same day moved house into a new area. I am also from the UK which complicates matters

I am now living in Downingtown, PA and wish to get in contact with local WRX owners for general discussions.

I also have plans to "mod" my WRX but I don't know of any close-by decent vendors and trustworthy garages.

More importantly I need advice on the WRX in general, mod's, maintenance, etc, etc.

Fancy a beer and a WRX chat? Contact James at:-

My D-town brother...where exactly are you? I don't own a WRX, but will be getting an '04 2.5RS in 6-8 weeks. I'll email you with the details now...

ScoobySport North America (aka Rally Performance) is somewhere in Pennsylvania (telephone area code 814) But I suspect that they just sell things (as opposed to installing, tuning, customizing WRX equipment). But it might be worth a phone call. See http://www.rallyperformance.com/Contact.shtml

Welcome. Check the Tri-State board on this Site. There are tons of WRXs in the Philly area now. We are having an install fest on March 8 just outside of Philly if you interested to see some cars or have your first mod installed on your car. Rally Performance is OK, but not local by any means. They are about 4-5 hours away. Definitely go to www.RalliSpec.com. They are in New Jersey, about 45 minutes from where you live (right near the Subaru of America Headquarters). Dookiebob just had a Stage 4 installed there. They have excellent service. Good Luck. Once again, go to the Tri-State forum.

WRXURV8,

By the way, I am definitely interested in the "install fest" - where is it? Do I need tickets or anything??

I am new to such events, what kind of things go on? Can you buy and get mods fitted there and then; obviously not the major things, I mean like new "lighting" or a BOV for example???

Are there folks "showing" their beautiful scoob's??

There is a group of Tri-State Guys (PA, NY, and NJ), mostly from Northern New Jersey, that are very experienced with Subarus. What an Install Fest is when we pick a location, this time it will at someone's home, with a large heated garage. The Jersey guys, who are called AZP performance I believe, install parts that you bring, on your Subarus, for a much lower price than you can have done anywhere else. I am not sure how major the mods are to be installed at a fest. You can PM "Paisan" for more details. A blow-off valve or some lights is something that can easily be done at an Install Fest. I am having some Eibach Springs installed for $150. That is probably 50% cheaper than anywhere else for a good quality job. Dookiebob and his 350hp monster is getting some STI springs and struts installed. Other things like exhausts, etc, would be no problem. I am sure alot of other guys will show up to show-off / check-out some cars. You can PM me for more information.
