Default suspension that lowers car more than 1.25" ?

I am looking for some setup that is really affordable to lower my caar more than just 1.25" I have eibachs and kyb agx's right now, but I want something that will drop it another 1.25"

So I am looking for some adjustable springs so I dont have to replace the struts, something that will give me a 2.5" drop from stock hieght would be great.

Thanks
-Eric

Not coilovers but cheap and you'll get the car low

5zigen R-rated spring if you can find them, its says 1.6 front, 1.5 rear but on the 2.5 rs it looks really low

found an article on these springs

Hmmm... 2.5" sounds awfully low... Might be worried about ill-effected handling, at that point...

Maybe someone can correct me, but I'm not sure what an "adjustable spring" would be, whereas you say you want to use stock struts.

I'd say that if you're going for the showroom thing, just pick up any old set of drop springs out of some import showcar magazine.
Won't cost too much, I bet. But if you want to still hang on to some handling, jeez I don't know, to me that sounds like a big drop. Maybe not though?

sorry, I want the "look" so it may actually only drop it another 3/4" to get the "look" and they will be riding on kyb agx's.

Thanks

If thats the case I would go with the 5zigen springs if you can find them. It made my 2.5rs look really low especially if you have 17" rims

If you're really going to do this, can you go ahead and send me your AGXes? I'd like to have an extra set (just in case), and if you leave them on the car when you lower it 2.5" they'll be destroyed shortly anyway. Plus, the warranty will be void once the car is lowered more than 1.5 inches. I can give you my stock struts - they're shot, too, but with the ride you'll have, you shouldn't be able to notice.

sorry about the sarcasm, but I just wanted to point out a few things you might not be thinking about...

When I was running 215/45/17's it was ok as long as you remove the rear wheelwell rubber trim on the fender. I'm now running Azenis 225/45/17s had to roll the fender a little bit but its fine now.

sorry for posting so many pics, it just makes explaining things a bit easier if you see it as well.

Yes, I am lowered about 1.25" on all corners right now, and just want something to lower it alittle more, and get some stiff sway bars to get rid of this body roll i get on long high speed corners.

Here is my clearance with eibach prokit springs and kyb agx's

-Eric

I was running apex dampers but I bent one. So for right now I'm on the stocks. Its fine, feels like a caddy on the freeway but it turns like a champ.
I'll be changing them shortly once I get my tax return.

I like your set up though, How are the AGX, My friend Sean used to run the Frankenstien set up with the AGX and ground controll Coilovers. He used to Launch that car into jumping over speed bumps and catching full air all 4 tires off the ground.

hahaha.. thats great, gettin air over speed bumps..

Mine ride great, not bouncy at all, stiff responsive.. Except, my car is light, and I still have a bit of body roll, and believe it or not, a Honda Odessey can almost out perform me on the on/off ramps on a highway. My friend drives the Honda Odyssey, got it to like 55-65 on this one ramp, and I started sliding (maybe the tires not gripping enough, or just not sticky enough period) I am on Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce, those maybe why he keeps up with me, his tires screech real bad too, so I figure, lower my car a little bit, get sway bars, and some sticky tires on 17" rims.... he wont stand a chance. That and my friends honda civic out performs me in the corners. not speed wise, but manuverability.

You wouldn't believe how fast a honda odyssey is on 93 octane, and a crazy driver, it can beat any stock civic. it's crazy. They are probably one of the best performing minivans I have ever driven (my mom has one too).

Ground Control coilover springs with adjustable perches. I have them on AGX's, but I ride near stock height as to not destroy the struts... I can drop down to about 2" bellow stock height if I wanted to, and its stiff as bajesus.

Dont ask "where can I get them?" because I dont know, as I got the set up used. Instead try a search as there were several topics created about them already.

I hear you on the odyssey, When I drove one in felt like a car but wait its a minivan.

When I went to a car show this was the craziest thing I've every seen. A tricked out odyssey, own by Turbo Mom of ArtnMotion

Back on topic I hear you on the whole body roll, car feels to light situation. I was thinking about getting a roll cage to stiffen it up, but everyone tells me to try coilovers first before I go on the extreme end.
I have 2 friends, one with a WRX Wagon with JIC's and his is the re-valved one which come with a soft setting, And man the wagon is a heavy beast, but the JIC coilover suspension helps tap the inner potential of the car. If felt like the car was on tracks and the body felt so stable and solid.
My other friend has a JIC set up on his 2.5rs and his is the really stiff one. When I try to keep up with him it looks like he can turn so hard around low speed corners, The JIC's allow him to get the rear tires to really follow what the front are doing(I know it sounds wierd but you have to see it or you just have to try it). Coilovers really make the car feel very solid and responsive.
