Default Canadian STI price

Specialty Motor Cars, dealer in North Vancouver, BC suggested that Canadian price will be around CDN $ 46,000.

That would fit fit a US price in the low 30's.

Anybody else have any info in this regard?

Starting under 50 grand would be great, but I would not believe any dealer until Subaru of Canada gives the official word.

Canadian prices are usually a couple G's less than American going by direct conversion. Be optimistic...

I got from Richmond Subaru for around MSRP $48000.
And 15 ppl in the wait list.
Dont go to Don Docksteader, they are cocky bunch.

N.Van dealers can get some good prices.

Brossard Subaru, south shore of Montreal said it will not be higher than 45k and said the STi will be MSRP at 42k-43k so we know all the dealers are really "guessing"... One will be right but not because he had internal info but because Laval Subaru said at the beginning 42k, now 45k from another dealer, one said 46k in Ontario about a month ago and now 48k so for sure one will be right but for now, it's all speculations for sure.

Conversion is about 1.58 right now *but* usually the conversion doesn't work from USD$ to CDN$... Just look at that:

I had a Z06 2002 Vette: USD$ 51k that would convert to approximatly 80580$ ... I paid 71k CDN$ for it...

Look also at the Cobra SVT 35k USD$ that would give 55k, it's 46k here BUT in Montreal, you have to pay a 15% taxes ... The math is not the same with import so the STi if rated at 32k would be here about 45-46k...

I know what you mean about the realative price of cars not matching the interest rates. However, if the US dollar continues to get hammered until June I think the rate will be pretty close-- right now $1 US = $1.48 CAD.
