Angry I squished a squirral and hit a metal pole.

Bad luck continues. I hit a squirral dead center with my front bumper at 60MPH it smashed the bumper to bits and damaged the plastic peice under the bumper (that I had just put back this week). When I pulled over I hit some stupid ass metal pole that was bent over with my tire it came down hard on the hood and put a nice 12" dent in the hood (creased down impossible to push out)

Now I need a front bumper skin, Hood and the plastic thing that runs along the bottom. Anyone got any prices?

Should I go aftermarket with both?

Did the squirrel jump up or something???? I never saw a squirrel that wouldn't fit under the car with just a gentle thudding noise as you pass over.

Do they make them big up in VT/NY way.

I'm just stumped on ho you can hit one with your bumper....

Unless they were filming a new Geico commercial?

Dude,

That's terrible. Look at it this way, it could have been an elk or a moose. That would have been a lot worse.

Wilkey

Raj,

Driving in the rain yesterday was definitely a gnarly experience. At the end of a hgihway on ramp, I stepped up at WOT to pass a very slow-moving Volvo. Needless to say, standing water made the car do a few side to side wiggles but no harm done. Once I settled it back in, even the almighty RE92s do fine in standing water.

yeah, it's pretty cold up that way this morning.

I was at JoeZ's this morning and my drivers door was frozen shut, pretty crazy cold.

Once again, if I had a car.. I'd make a mental note not to let wheels borrow it.

good luck with the repairs.

did you keep the squirell as a trophy?

Forget about the plastic piece under the bumper and get an aluminum skidplate. That'll deflect anything up to and including a beaver. (Ask me how I know ) Unless you're talking about the brake vent ducts....

Default w/o bad luck, you'd have no luck at all...

I feel like I should loan you my jeep for the rest of the winter . You could drive over or hit just about anything and not care a bit. Of course I'd have to get it running again (grrrrr). Sorry about this string of bad luck. I do know the squirrels around here seem to all be going nuts, but most are not carrying steel clubs, that I've seen.

sounds like it's time to sell it! i know when you start having bad luck with a car it's time to get rid of it due to it will keep attracting bad luck. My white 99 RS was that way, i think it would just look for stuff to hit!!!
