Default Are you guys using your heat shields after installing your VF-22, VF-30, VF-34 turbo?

I was just curious to find out if everyone is still using their heat shields after they put on their new turbos such as the vf-34 or whatever?

Yeah!

Unless you like your intercooler to get heatsoaked, put it back on. Or find alternative methods of insulation.

Yes. I had to hack it out to fit over my bell mouth downpipe, but it's back on.

I left mine off and its doin just fine. I got a FMIC though....

I've been thinking of wraping the top of the exhaust side of the turbo with some heat wrap that sticks on. Not sure what to do yet though.

I also hacked mine up after my downpipe install. Seems to work fine. I think it's probably a good way to contain heat in the engine compartment.
