Default trip precautions

im going to be driving to la on thursday from oakland, its going ot be around a 5 hour drive and i want to know waht i should do to make sure the car doesnt over heat and other stuff that i should know. and i went there last time there were a lot of bugs is that going to be any trouble for my intercooler if alot get stuck and give me some info on what to do thanks.

Really, I've driven to LA (Los Angeles not Louisiana) and Idaho (yeah, it's really a state) without any probs. The biggest concern I have are the speed traps on DEAD I-5 through the desert.

Or you could just give my your car and I'll use it for spare parts

Dude, your car is brand new

The only thing you should do is check your fluid levels and tire pressures, and if your oil has +2k miles on it (non-syn) then change your oil before you go.
