Hi Josh,

I got mine for $390.00 at Performance Plus. The shop in Dublin is closed so the closest one that I know of is in San Ramon (just north of Crow Canyon, on San Ramon Blvd.)

Cheers

Eddy L.

P.S. haven't seen you in your new wagon.

Everyone has told me that the AGX does not fit the 2002 WRX or RS. If you disagree, tell me the part number and what lowering springs you would use.

I would like to hear from a 2002 owner that has them installed, too.

Hey North Ursila - How would you rate the AGX's and Zigens as far as ride and stiffness? Also, how much difference does the adjustability make? Is there a big difference between the firmest and softest settings?
Thanks ahead for your help. I can't decide between the AGX's and V.5's. Are the AGX's worth the extra $?

I have heard they do fit. I hear with mods they will fit the sedan, and i believe without mods for the wagon(what i have).

currently i am running Tein s-tech springs made for the forester. they fit great, and the rear spring rates are higher than the regular s-tech springs made for the older GC8 cars. the rear doesnt lowert as much, and the car actualy sits VERY even. In fact, I measured from the floor to the fender lip, and got 25.75" for the front, and 26" for the rear. the rears wil settle a bit more, thna the car should be totally level. side to side was dead even.

I will keep you posted on the AGX's. If they dont fit, than I will sell them or return them. I just need something, for the Teins are too much for the stock shocks

are the Tien mediums? How did you know to buy the Forrester version to fit your car? I got another email from a vendor saying the AGX did not have a part for may car. You seem to know the details. You may want to add STi pillar tops while you are doing it. See my other post about this.

Josh,

After hearing what they said I had to check my reciept.

Here is what I found.....my bad it is not performance plus.....but Monument Car Parts. The cost on the Reciept was $99.00 each, but I think I got them to take 10% off, for some reason so I paid $90.00.

I appologize for sending you to the wrong place....PP is good only for if you like cheap and crude parts for American and honda cars. So head on down to Monument. I going today to get some Redline oil and see what they can do for you.

Cheers

I originally got them at the store that was in Dublin (right by the Foster Freeze), but that store was closed due to renovation of the building. The closest store now is the one in San Ramon (North of Crow Canyon).

I was unable to go there today (had to take wife out to get plants) But I will go tomorrow and talk with them. The person who sold me the struts works there now....I'll talk to him. Sorry that your getting the run-around with these guys.

I'll let you know what I find out.

Cheers

EddyL.

yes, i have thought about the top hats. i plan on it, but not this round.

you are dead on that KYB does not have a part # yet. i am going to get the old part #'s and see how they match up to the stock struts. I have access to a set of RS struts that are off a car.

on the teins, it was luck. alex(Imprezer) happen to order the medium s-tech springs for his girlie's forester. we were toying around with my car, puttin on his olkd rear 20mm sway bar, and solid end links, when he realized that the teins might just work pretty well on the wagon. we put them on, and it works great. if you look at teins web site, and check out the spring rates, you will see they fronts AND rears are stiffer than most of the other GC8 wagons, including the STi. cool. at the moment, the rebound is a bit soft with the new springs.

EddyRS

I called them, and they said you were smokin crack. he said that he couldnt match the price period. hmph

Tirerack sells the AGX for $106 for the 2001 RS.

My brother ordered a set of those for his Civic and got them in 3 days. (They work quite well too)

Last month I got a package deal from shox.com for KYB AGX and Eibach Prokit for $643, including shipping. Pretty good deal, imo.
