Default EJ25T swap - who will be the first?

I don't know if anyone will do a swap from the first smuck that wrecks his WRX STI. I'm a little slow on the boards but I heard there maybe a Forester or Legacy 2.5 turbos coming on the market. Anyone considering it? Wonder how it will compare to doing a ej20T?

With the 2.5t coming in the Legacy and Forester, I think I may just end up getting something that comes with the engine stock.

ME!

(I wish )

I would rather shoot for one of the Forester engines, as they would probably be more common and cheaper... (I can already see that folks from Uk/Jp/Aus will try to import the wrecked USDM STI stuff)

But for me, it will probably be a couple years...

I'd love to, of course if I had the money. That would indeed be sweet.

Don't get me dreaming, man, I'll never stop.

Well just considering what if? I wonder what are the differences of Forester/Legacy tranny and would they mate up in the RS's.

I don't think I'd trust anything short of the STi six-speed trans. I mean if you're talking about dropping the new STi EJ25-T into the RS and just using a Legacy trans., I mean.

Don't think it'd work well, or be strong enough overall. I'd definitely have to either go for the STi, or hook up with Rallispec.com and get their hardened gearset at the very least. Or a dogbox or GC STi RA gearset.

Nah just being hypothetic about if one was to get an EJ25-T from possible release of the Turbo Forester or Legacy GT. Could thier hopefully stronger trannies, mate up into our cars.

Man if I could put an WRX STI in then I'd definately have the tranney also.
