Oh man that stinks about your accident. I assume you are feeling okay and were'nt injured in this. Well, the guy making the left turn blew it so you are covered legally as the one making the left hand turn always needs to yeild to oncoming traffic. Hope the frame is not bent

the good thing is that no one was hurt, i just wish i could have done something about the accident.. i was totally blind until the very last seconds in the intersection, then BAM. good thing davis is a small city and the police, ambulance and fire trucks were there literally within a couple minutes. the thing that sux is that i just put back on the rotas last thursday and i had a downpipe installed by MPJ last last sat. hopefully my car is repairable.. but i doubt it.

yeah man, fifth st on davis isn't very safe at ALL around 4-5 or whenever there's traffic because people want to make those lefts and don't realize that there are other cars on the road..

*sigh with that damage i hope my car is totalled because after the repairs, 1/2 of my body will have to be replaced..

Damn Andrew I'm sorry to hear what happened.... It looks like you'd be best totalling your car out. Keep me updated on what happens... Also, are your rims 17s or 18s, they look big?

Again man, sorry to see/hear that..

Dude, I feel you man; Felix was telling everyone at the meet.

I lost my first car the same way, some idiot pulls a left turn into you while driving. I wish you the best. Personally, get your modded stuff back and sue the crap outta the other person. Your car's subframe is bent and so it won't handle the same.

Hey Chris, it was nice seeing your car 2 weeks ago, your car progressed pretty quickly.. i'll probably see you around burlingame some time soon anyway. haha until then
also, those wheels are 17, they look big because the fender has been smashed way down into my wheel

hopefully i will be totaling the car and taking my moded parts off because im sure the frame/subframe is bent and i don't want to deal with that.

thanks for the support guys... it just sux to lose my car in an accident that was in my part, unavoidable.

Hey, here's some advice, I remember the insurance company of the driver who hit me called to conjole me into saying I had no injuries too early (any injuries you get may cause pain as your body loses the initial shock) so they would get out of paying. Just tell them to talk to your insurance company.

So what's your next car? 2004 WRX? 2003? STi or EVO? You had the nicest car in the UC Davis click.

Damnnn that sucks, I had gotten into around a 12k accedent and people said the car will never be the same, but hey it feels like new and like its never been in an accedent, have had no problems at all, and a decent portion of the accedent was to the suspension as well.

The insurance company paid for all mods that were damaged.

So im sure you can recover the money u put into your car as well..
Good luck

yeah well most people who said they've had damage to the frame or subframe have had problems with the suspension somewhere down the road.. also the resale value of your car will go down a ton if you've been in a major accident, and mine seems pretty major..

as for future plans for a car.. we'll see what insurance will give me for my current car with my mods on it.. i seriously don't think i'll be upgrading to anything fancy like the STi, and i think the 2004 wrx is pretty darn ugly. i was thinking if i could make 3-4 grand extra i could put it in a g35 coupe or something, but that's just a thought.

the truth is, i need to talk to insurance and all that bs and also talk to my parents to see what GOOD i can get out of all of this..
i'll keep you guys updated

Whoa. I finally saw the pics. That must of been some impact if the person knocked you into the other street. Good thing subarus have a good offset crash rating. I'd be careful when driving in Davis. I almost got hit by a person running a red light on Covell during my integra driving days.

Hopefully you get everything settled with your insurance so you can get that G35 and bring them to the meets. Those cars are sweet!!

yeah fortunately subarus have really good crash ratings and i didn't really feel too much during the whole collision.. but i hope the body shop isn't going to try to fix my car and say that it's not totaled because by the looks of it, first i won't be able to drive it for a while, and second it seems that my engine or subframe could be damaged.. so the best situation here would be that my car is totalled and i can buy it back to remove all the aftermarket parts.

first of all here is a new link to my accident pictures.

here

second thing is that from the preliminary exam of my car, there is almost $10,000 worth of damage.

my two most important questions were what about my engine and frame?

the guys at g n r automotive in davis assured me that anything damaged in the engine will be replaced and will run like before

as with the frame, they will straighten it out and see if it will pass the alignement test. if part of the subframe was bent beyond the crush zone then they will replace it since subaru has a 3 piece front subframe.

so i guess i have no choice but to wait my 3.5 weeks for repairs. an i'm feeling ok physically so i guess everything will turn out ok in time.

I don't know how good the bodyshop is, but when you check it out, make sure you bring to their attention anything wrong. Overspray, mis-alignment of body pieces. Ask dorifto88, he suffered a poor repair job.

Sorry to hear about the accident. The car doesn't look real bad. Yeea there is quite a bit of damage, but overall it doesn't look that bad. I got t-boned by a car running a red light at about 50 and they still fixed my car. $10,500 in damage and they repaired it. It drives fine but I had to take my car back there like 3 times to get things fixed.
